Year 12 is the year that students sit for their HSC. It is the heaviest content in many disciplines and different to previous years. For example the knowledge gained in this year and in year 11 also for mathematics will be evaluated in a final exam which has a weight of 25 % of their final overall mark. We are talking about the HSC.
In these last years the wisest thing to do is to have a tutor with us at Tutoring Services Sydney so the student can get advice on how to answer a question, identify the key components of the question, enhance time management, speed up in certain exercises, plan a written response, etc. Also, a tutor can provide feedback to assignments, designs of experiments or essays.
Parents, you do not want to see you child struggling to understand a concept or getting stressed because they did not achieve the expected outcome. It is not enough to have a tutor help you just pass an assessment in Year 8, 9 or 10 and then feel you don't need tutoring anymore. If you don't understand the concepts you will get further and further behind in any subject.
School goes back 6 February this year. Parents it is time to give your children a fair chance in getting the best marks they can without the stress and the last minute rush. There is no way even the best of tutors can do your child justice if they don't get tutoring until after June in their HSC year. Unfortunately there are no magic wands.
